About Ron

My name is Ron Coleman, aerospace engineer and hobbyist. My interest has always been to photograph my travels and hobbies. I enjoy the many technical aspects of photography, both software and hardware. I like to shoot images and post process with the array of digital enhancement software tools currently available. I would categorize myself as a digital artist as opposed to a traditional photographer. I am a member of the Photographic Society of America, the Florida Photographers Group, the Photographic Club of Flagler County and The Villages Photo Club. Camp Leakey – Borneo

Borneo-1 I took this image on my travels into the interior of Borneo 1984 as part of a conservation study of the orangutans. The location is Camp Leakey within Tanjung Puting National Park. In those old days we captured images on photographic film, the kind we had developed at the local drugstore. This one I scanned into my computer and post enhanced using Adobe Photoshop and creative effect applied with Topaz Impression. If you are interested in the work there today, checkout this link:

Bridge Granda Bridge over the ICW at Granada Ave, Ormond Beach, FL. This panorama was created from 11 images shot using a 50 mm lens. 250 sec at f/10, ISO 100. I stitched the images with photo merge in Adobe Lightroom.
